Teaching Individuals a Vocation

Our partners in the Monrovia area of Liberia have developed a new and distinct approach to reach communities.

They have begun establishing vocational schools in various fields, starting with Cheerful Givers School, where we have already played a part. Although these vocational schools may differ from what we typically see in the United States, they offer students an opportunity to acquire new skills that will enhance their lives in the long term. Additionally, these students will have a built-in distribution channel to sell the products they make at markets that we have helped our partners establish in Monrovia. The vocational schools will provide training in areas such as soap making, tie-dye production, and sewing. We are excited to provide the sewing machines to help these vocational schools and their students become successful!

Economic Stability

In Monrovia, where poverty rates are high and job opportunities are limited, having a skill or trade can make a significant difference in an individual’s ability to support themselves and their families.

Community Development

Having a strong vocational sector contributes to the development of the local community. By providing goods and services, individuals with vocations can help economic growth and provide resources to their neighbors.
